Lean Thinking and AI-Driven Smart Manufacturing Information Systems Design Method
The sustainable value creation through humancentric has become a new requirement for the sustainable and stable development of smart manufacturing systems (SMSs) in the industry 5.0 era. The widespread application of emerging technologies such as the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoTs), big data, cyber-physical systems (CPSs), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) 2.0 enables interconnected and autonomous operations of SMSs. However, existing design methods primarily focus on improving traditional business aspects, neglecting multi-stakeholder requirements and the redundancy of multi-source information in smart manufacturing information systems (SMISs). Therefore, this article proposes an AI $\mathbf{2. 0}$ and lean thinking driven information systems design framework to enhance the sustainable development of SMSs. We also propose the logic relationship and information flow of SMISs based on lean thinking, aiming to better optimize business process of SMSs. This article provides significant reference value for smart transformation and sustainable development design in the manufacturing industry.
