Design and Investigation of Star Shaped AMC Surface for RCS Reduction
This AMC lowers the RCS from 3.4 GHz to 5.7 GHz by nearly 10 dB. Both TE and TM propagation modes are compatible with the intended AMC. The suggested unit cell is made up of the basic AMC, which is made up of circular arrow-shaped and star-shaped components. The proposed AMC featured a center resonance frequency of 4.2 GHz and a bandwidth of 2.2 GHz. The Transverse Electric (TE) and Transverse Magnetic (TM) modes in this EBG are identical and share a similar constant angular feature due to its independent polarization behavior. This AMC's reduction bandwidth is much greater, and its practical uses are made possible by these structural features.
