Strongly Coupled Bi2S3/rGO Nanocomposite as a Novel Electrode Material for Supercapacitors
The current study deals with an experimental investigation in developing Bi<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf>S<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">3</inf>/rGO nanocomposite and exploring its characterization as well as electrochemical measurement. Efficient straightforward and adaptable synthetic approach is implemented to prepare the nanocomposite. In the present investigation, XRD, SEM, EDS, and RAMAN are applied for the characterization while CV and GCD are used for electrochemical measurement of the nanocomposite. The Bi<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf>S<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">3</inf>/rGO nanocomposite exhibits significantly high specific capacitance value of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$982 \mathrm{F} / \mathrm{g}$</tex> at scan rate (SR) of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$5 \text{mV} / \mathrm{s}$</tex>. The unique structural design is responsible for the enhanced electrochemical performance. Because of its non-toxicity, plentiful availability, environment friendly and cost effectiveness, the as-developed nanocomposite finds significant real-world applications in supercapacitors.
