Enhancing Power Quality for SRM Water Pumps in Partial Shading Conditions Using Pufferfish Optimization for MPPT of PV Systems
Water Pumping Systems (WPSs) are mandatory components in numerous facets of human existence, encompassing drinking water supply, agricultural activities, and industrial applications. This study examines the analysis of 2 WPSs provided by a shared PV system as well as common converter. An electric motor is essential for extracting water from subterranean sources. Among the different types of motors available, switched reluctance motors (SRMs) stand out as particularly appealing for WPSs because of their numerous benefits. To eliminate the expenses and upkeep linked to batteries, this paper explores a PV-powered SRM (switched reluctance motor) utilized in a WPS that operates without a battery bank. The results of this integration are assessed for Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) under different PSCs against PSO, GA, and MGWO. The converter can function as an MPPT device by integrating SMC with the suggested MPPT approach. The OPAL-RT platform is used for thorough testing and validation of the suggested system.
