A Novel Three Port Multi-Input Multioutput Single Inductor DC-DC Bidirectional Boost Converter

In hybrid renewable energy systems, Multiple input Multiple output (MIMO) converters, which may connect various generating sources simultaneously to the output will be helpful. Energy storage buffers, such as rechargeable battery banks, may be deployed to store energy when generation is surplus and to serve the load at times of high demand. This study explores a new three-port, multiple input, multiple output DC-DC bidirectional boost converter using one inductor. The suggested MIMO converter's general structure is first provided, followed by an explanation of how it works using two voltage sources, one rechargeable battery storage unit at the input, with three resistive loads at the output. Depending on the needs, the suggested converter can connect the sources one at a time, or in series. It is possible to charge the battery bank at port-3 from both the sources at input and the source if any available at load side. Outcomes of the simulation for the all modess are presented
