Pressure-mediated structural evolution and luminescent properties of MgGeO3:Mn2+ nanoparticles: a new candidate for optical high-pressure sensors
MGO:Mn nanoparticles undergo a phase transition from Pbca to C 2/ c induced by high pressure. A red shift in photoluminescence spectra reveals high sensitivity of Mn 2+ emission to compression, making the material a promising optical pressure sensor.
