O PENSAMENTO GRIÔ NA FORMAÇÃO DE ADOLESCENTES E JOVENS BRASILEIROS
In this article, we present the results of the thesis entitled Africa in the Hands of Griot Art in Promoting Resilience in Adolescents and Young People for the Deconstruction of Racism. Priority was given to an ethnographic study, with Ubuntu ethics as a theoretical framework combined with Pedagogy of the Crossroads; Griot art, established as an educational action of the Cultura Viva Program, as a pedagogical practice; and Bardin's method of classification into categories for data analysis. We highlight the five categories developed as a result: Adolescence and Youth as a Place of Anguish; Memories of Racism – School as a Stage for Recalling Suffering; “Hell is the Other” – the Weight of Emotional Issues; Culture Generates Health or Health Generates Culture?; Raising Flags, Among Sounds, Stones, Clay, and Wood. The connections established in the experiences provoked by Griot art in adolescents and young people reaffirm the need for education in ethnic-racial relations.
