Stress Reduction of Physiological Arousal through Short-term Dynamic Lighting under Different Task Loads.
The aim of this study was to investigate the stress-relief effect of dynamic lighting under different task loads. Two dynamic lighting conditions were designed, transitioning over 10 minutes from 500 lux to 200 lux and 100 lux, respectively. Two levels of task loads were implemented. The high-load task consisted of a 20-minute word recognition test, while the low-load task involved a 5-minute oral response task. Three types of physiological signals were assessed as measurement indices: Skin Conductance Level, Skin Temperature, and Heart Pulse.
