Estimation of carbon insulated in biomass of Maluku endemic Gandaria (Bouea macrophylla) at different growth-places on Ambon island
Gandaria (Bouea macrophylla), an endemic plant of Maluku, has leaves, stems, and roots that have ecological benefits. It can fill and provide green open space. The objective of this study is to determine the level of carbon compound storage that Gandaria is capable to absorb, as well as the variations in its absorption of carbon compounds. All stands at various altitudes on the island of Ambon. We found that Hatalai Village had the lowest temperature (23-24C) and Riang Village and Poka Village had the highest (28-29C).According to carbon calculations, the amount of carbon contained in Gandaria plants was 14.241 tons/ha at 0-400 masl, 117.876 tons/ha at 400-700 masl, and 123.375 tons/ha at more than 700 masl. With a significant value of 0.577, the One-Way ANOVA test findings showed that there was no significant variation in the carbon biomass absorption in Gandaria stands among the three altitudes.
