Acceptance of the use and benefits of ERP systems in the hospitality industry: Application of technology acceptance model 3
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, designed to integrate information systems and various organizational processes, have grown increasingly vital as company operations become more complex. In the hospitality industry, ERP systems enhance efficiency by automating processes such as procurement, check-ins, and customer service management. However, ERP implementations frequently fail, with many projects exceeding budgets, timelines, and failing to deliver expected benefits.High failure rates, coupled with significant costs, result in decreased productivity.Challenges include increased workloads for employees learning the system and resistance to adoption. This study utilizes the Technology Acceptance Model 3 (TAM 3) to assess user acceptance and the benefits of ERP systems, providing a comprehensive view of IT adoption and its impact on organizations like XYZ, which markets ERP software.TAM 3's insights are crucial for understanding user acceptance and enhancing ERP project success rates. To analyze the data collected, we employ Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS), a robust statistical technique that allows for the examination of complex relationships between observed and latent variables.SEM-PLS is particularly useful in exploratory research and for models with multiple constructs and indicators, making it ideal for this study's investigation into the factors influencing ERP adoption.
