ON THE RESTORATION OF CROP AND LIVESTOCK PRODUCTION IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION
The article substantiates the point of view that crop production and animal husbandry are science-intensive and high-tech activities created in the millennia of the Neolithic Revolution based on the study of the laws of nature using the natural mind of man. The author pays attention to the key moments in the development of domestic agriculture and land use in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, including the Stolypin reforms of 1906–1914 associated with an attempt to transition to farms. The article compares the experience of industrialization of agriculture of two world superpowers, the USA and the USSR. Criteria for assessing the effectiveness of industrial technologies in agriculture are formulated. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of statistical information on the difficult situation in domestic crop production and animal husbandry at present. Based on this analysis, the goals of long-term program-targeted planning of domestic agriculture and other sectors of the agro-industrial complex are formulated.
