We encourage localized interventions to address the xylazine-fentanyl syndemic. Policy measures such as Wisconsin Act 217, which legalized xylazine testing materials, promote evidence-based harm reduction tools to mitigate the risks associated with xylazine's increasing prevalence in the Midwest.
