Pre-test was conducted by using same questionnaire, educational programme was given for 15 minutes and post-test 1(Immediate) and 2 (on 8thday after intervention conducted. Data was analyzed with descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: In the present study, 23(46%) mothers had poor knowledge,23(46%) mothers with average knowledge and 4(8%) with good knowledge. There is no significant association between the level of knowledge scores and socio demographic variables. Conclusion: The result from this study reveals that knowledge regarding prevention of child sexual abuse among mothers was inadequate. Also, the educational programme significantly improved the knowledge of mothers regarding child sexual abuse so other teaching strategies can be used to increase mother’s knowledge regarding prevention of child sexual abuse
