Study of The Velocity of Accelerated Electrons in A Solar Type III Radio Burst
Type III radio bursts are generated by electrons accelerated during a solar flare and propagating from the site of primary energy release to the upper layers of the solar corona. Modeling of the generation process of type III radio bursts predicts that the velocity of electrons obtained from measurements at different frequency ranges should differ. To test the hypothesis, we measured electron velocities for various ranges using data from the spectropolarimeter of the Radioastrophysical Observatory (ISTP SB RAS) in the range 50-3 000 MHz. The paper presents the results of a study of type III radio bursts that occurred during the flare on July 21, 2024. We found that the electron velocity varies with frequency and agrees with the results obtained in previous studies.
