Results of An Asteroid Search on the “Syntez” Telescope of The CrAO RAS
In 2022, the modernization of the “Sintez” telescope made it possible to start regular observations. The 350 mm telescope is equipped with a corrector, a filter wheel, an electric focuser and a QHY-600M camera with a Sony imx455 matrix. The combination of light intensity and field of view made it possible to search for unknown asteroids. Together with colleagues, software has been developed using the synthetic tracking method to identify weak moving objects. During the first year of observations, 100 unknown asteroids were discovered, during the second 300. In 2024, a 280 mm telescope based on the Schmidt - Cassegrain Celestron C11 was added. This tool, equipped with a Starizona HyperStar corrector and a Player One camera with a Sony imx455 matrix, has a 1/1.9 aperture and a field of view of 9.3 square degrees. In the first year of work, 500 unknown asteroids were identified on it’s frames.
