Variability Properties of Blazar S5 1803+784 on the Shortest Timescale
Crimean Astrophysical Observatory of RAS Blazar S5 1803+784 has a long series of observations made by the TESS satellite. Due to the low brightness of the blazar and the large pixel size on the CCD camera, we perform relative photometry using cuts summed from TESS full-frame images. These data are analyzed to find the minimum characteristic time of variability with the requirement of high statistical significance of the obtained value. Then, we trace the evolution of the properties of short-term variability and their relation to photometric characteristics. The significant difference in the characteristic time of variability for neighboring intervals on the light curve and the absence of correlation between the variability characteristics are interpreted under the assumption that variability occurs due to a change in the Doppler factor of the subcomponents in the emitting region.
