Practical Aspects of Using Slam Technologies To Create Topographic Plans in Urban Areas
This article describes the methods of data acquisition and processing by SLAM-technologies, the method of which consists in the formation of a point cloud by laser scanning and the simultaneous determination of the coordinates of the point cloud in the WGS-84 coordinate system. The SLAM topographic survey, lasting 40 minutes, produced a point cloud consisting of 245 million points. Post-processing was delayed for reasons of forming the final solution for posterior ephemeris maximizing the coordinate accuracy. SLAM technologies noticeably reduce the time of spatial data acquisition, but the time of material processing increases.
