Searches and Determination of Structural and Photometric Parameters of Star Clusters in UGC 3755
The formation history of a galaxy can be investigated by studying in detail the chemical composition, spatial distribution, and kinematics of its star clusters. We present the results of searching for and determining the photometric (magnitudes) and structural (effective radius, ellipticity) parameters of globular clusters (GCs) in the dwarf irregular galaxy (dIrr) UGC 3755 based on frames obtained with the Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS) of the Hubble Space Telescope (HST). The final sample includes 28 GC candidates. The ranges of structural parameters and luminosities of these objects are within the limits typical for GCs in our Galaxy. Along with red, presumably old objects, a significant population of young massive GC candidates was discovered. The work supplements the available literature data on the properties of the stellar population of UGC 3755.
