KEY WAYS TO IMPROVE THE EFFICIENCY OF UKRAINE'S GRAIN EXPORTS TO GLOBAL MARKETS

This article explores the strategic importance of Ukraine's grain sector for global food security and the necessity of a comprehensive approach to ensure its long-term stability and efficiency. It emphasizes that under contemporary geopolitical challenges, particularly full-scale aggression, a mere increase in production is insufficient. Key directions for stimulating grain exports to world markets are investigated. The study identifies that implementing innovative agricultural technologies, such as precision farming, genetic and selective breeding programs, alongside soil science and agrochemistry research, is crucial for increasing yields and preserving the fertility of chernozems. Special attention is given to the development of logistical infrastructure, including the modernization of Black Sea and Azov Sea port capacities, diversification of routes (river, rail, road transport), and the construction of logistics hubs on western borders. Aspects of financial stability, access to capital through lending and agro-insurance programs, and attracting international investments are analyzed. The role of state policy and the regulatory environment is considered, particularly the completion of land reform, stimulating deep grain processing for value-added products, deregulation, and combating corruption. The article highlights the importance of investing in human capital, updating agricultural education, and enhancing specialist qualifications. Key players in Ukraine's grain market—large international and and domestic agricultural holdings—are identified, as is the crucial role of state export stimulation, especially given export complexities due to military actions. A comprehensive mechanism for export stimulation, based on the synergy of state, business, scientific, and international efforts, is presented. The necessity of modernizing port and rail infrastructure, expanding financial instruments to support agricultural producers and traders, incentivizing grain processing through fiscal and innovative measures, and active trade diplomacy is substantiated. It is stressed that the effectiveness of grain exports depends on the coordinated cooperation of all participants. The conclusion states that only through a systemic approach can Ukraine not only restore but significantly strengthen its position in the global food market, ensuring both its own and global food security. Future research prospects focus on improving mechanisms for state regulation and export stimulation with the support of international partners.
