SENSITIVITY OF BIOLUMINESCENCE METHOD FOR DETERMINING RESIDUAL QUANTITIES OF ANTIBIOTICS IN MINCED MEAT
Considering the significant costs of testing each package of minced meat, random monitoring becomes a practical and effective solution to the problem of quality control and food safety. The use of highly sensitive biosensor technologies can significantly speed up and improve the security monitoring process, allowing potential threats to be identified in the shortest possible time. The article demonstrates the sensitivity of the method in the analysis of residual quantities of various antibiotics: using the Antimicrobial Array I Ultra test kit - from 0,0005 to 0,002 mg/kg and Antimicrobial Array II Plus - from 0,0005 to 0,002 mg/kg depending on the analyte being determined. Such high sensitivity allows using this method in accordance with the amendment introduced to TR CU 021/2011 (application 51) for the determination of antibiotics and their permissible levels for meat products.
