EFFICIENCY OF METRAMAG-15 IN RETENTION OF PLACENTA IN EWES
Placenta retention in ewes of farm animals is widespread and is one of the economically significant diseases, affecting the reproduction of dairy cattle. World science and practice have made significant progress in solving of this problem in cows.. The problem of placenta retention in ewes remains poorly understood. To study the therapeutic efficacy of the drug Metramag-15 in retention of placenta in ewes was determined in sheep farm on the Gergebilsky District Dagestan Republic. Two groups of ewes with partial placenta retention were formed. Placenta retention was diagnosed based on clinical signs. The ewes of the experimental group (n=29) were intramuscularly administered the complex antibacterial drug Metramag-15, in dose 1 ml per 20 kg, during 2-3 days in a row. Researchet have shown that placenta retention in ewes after lambing is common and reaches 7% or more of cases. The use of the drug Metramag-15, which has a combined antimicrobial, uterotonic, anti-inflammatory and general stimulating effects, with this pathology recovery occurs in 96,5% of cases, which is on 11,9% higher, compared to the control group. The survival of young animals on 11,5% higher, compared to the control.
