Comparison of Control Performance in Operating Automatic Temperature Control System (Oyster Mushroom Farmhouse) Using Intelligent Control with ARX Model
This paper compares the performance of Fuzzy Logic Control (FLC), Model Reference Adaptive Control (MRAC), and Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) in an automatic temperature control system for oyster mushroom cultivation. Currently, temperature control is done manually, limiting productivity. Real-time temperature data was collected to develop an Auto-Regressive with Exogenous Input (ARX) model, from which a discrete-time transfer function was obtained. PID, FLC, and MRAC controllers were implemented and compared based on performance indices. Results show that PID had 9.12 % overshoot, while FLC and MRAC had 0 % overshoot. PID had the fastest rise time (182s) and settling time (722s), but FLC demonstrated fastest all performance.
