Decentralized Health Monitoring with IOT
This paper shows the design and implementation of an IoT-based Health Monitoring System with the objective of real-time tracking of vital physiological parameters. The sensors used by the system are to measure metrics such as heart rate, body temperature, and oxygen saturation, transmitted wirelessly to a central cloud platform via IoT devices and gateways also IOT protocols. Continuous monitoring and early detection of such anomaly data is done in the web application dashboard that can be used for real-time usage by the users. This system also comes with an alert mechanism. In case of abnormal readings, it sends notifications to the caregivers or healthcare professionals. There is a compact proposed solution that is not only energyefficient but also ideal for remote patient monitoring and chronic disease management. Experimental results show that this system correctly and reliably performs well in most tested scenarios. This study shows how IoT technology can improve personalized healthcare and also make a better patient outcome.
