Routing Architecture: Pioneering Traffic Engineering for Multiprotocol Label Switching and Beyond
The urgency of this research is based on the increase in internet network users but the lack of improvement in the quality of the Internet network. Observations have been made on any-to-any-connection data communication services in the form of data, voice, and video, so this requires Quality of Service (QoS) measurement. The hypothesis proposed in this research is to find a routing architecture as a pioneer of Traffic Engineering (TE) in Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) networks that contribute to determining the fastest path of the router available in a multilink or multi-node network and is responsible for forwarding packets if the active router is not operating. Traffic Engineering is expected to be a solution for network technology that has the ability to control the flow of data traffic through the network so that bandwidth usage performance is optimized by moving traffic at a high-density level to a low level. Then, QoS measurements are measured based on the TIPHON standard which consists of delay, throughput, and packet loss.
