This research aims to study the role of artificial intelligence in accelerating digital transformation in a traditional industry, such as manufacturing. Digital transformation is essential for the manufacturing industries to adapt to the rapidly evolving technological world this transformations includes integrating digital technologies to all the stages of manufacture, that leads to improved quality of product, reducing production time, and minimalized production cost. However, adopting digital transformation in manufacturing industries still has some significant challenges, this includes management commitment, human resources readiness, and technology integration. Artificial intelligence plays an important role in enabling digital transformation by enhancing creativity and productivity. To implement an effective artificial intelligence requires a strategy that considers organizational, technical, and human factors. The purpose of this research is to analyze how artificial intelligence can minimize these challenges to achieve digital transformation in this industry, namely, manufacturing. This research is expected to help companies engage in the manufacturing industry to improve their competitiveness by understanding the role of artificial intelligence in overcoming these obstacles or challenges and accelerating digital transformation.
