Enhancing Stability of the Optical Properties of Nanostructured All-Silica Coatings

We present the use of hexamethyldisilazane as a passivation treatment for nanostructured silica waveplates. Our results show the successful passivation of the silica matrix, preventing interaction with moisture, and overall stabilizing the optical properties.
