Architecting Periodic Columnar-Thin-Film Bilayer with a Central Layer Defect as Spectral Reflection-Hole Filter

Periodic bilayers of columnar thin films with central layer defects were fabri-cated and optically characterized. Experimental analysis indicates that an optimal number of unit cells will deliver the best performance as a spectral reflection-hole filter.
