Mineral resources base of solid minerals of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar

Introduction. The Republic of the Union of Myanmar is located in Southeast Asia and is rich in various natural resources. The mining industry is important for the growth of the country’s economy. The growth of economic development is associated with an increase in mining and enrichment. In the future, it is planned to significantly increase the contribution of the mineral sector to the country’s economy. Myanmar is provided with all the necessary resources for sustainable development in terms of its mineral resource base. The country has large reserves of jade, gemstones, copper, gold, and tin. And there are deposits of chromium, diamonds, mineral fertilizers, fluorites, bauxite, mercury, kaolin, feldspar, quartz, mica, etc. in small quantities. Purpose of the research. Knowing the problems and challenges of the mining industry in Myanmar, it allows to improve the efficiency for the development and safety of the mining industry in Myanmar. Materials and methods. The analysis carried out showed, currently the design, construction and mining of minerals in the country are carried out by foreign companies (among which organizations from China, Japan and Australia predominate). Most of the profits go to other countries. To ensure economic growth, it is necessary to develop our own personnel in the field of mining (design, mining and enrichment). Discussion. Russia is one of the world leaders in the field of exploration, production and enrichment of minerals. Scientific schools exist and are actively developing in the Russian Federation, which actively train personnel and develop new technologies. Conclusion. The available knowledge and experience can be used for the development of mining in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. This article will allow a wide range of specialists to assess the prospects for mutual cooperation between the two countries. The results of the research can be implemented in the mining operations in Myanmar.
