As clinicians, we are perpetually concerned about the outcomes of our patients. We continuously update our knowledge, acquire new skills, and invest substantial effort and time in our practice. Second, clinicians must manage the anxiety and stress experienced by patients and their families. In such situations, it is crucial to maintain a composed mental state to avoid overwhelming ourselves and experiencing stress. Individuals have diverse methods of managing their emotions and thoughts. Each person possesses unique strategies for controlling their stress levels and preserving sanity. Art serves as a potent tool for maintaining sanity in our world, encompassing music, literature, performing arts, visual arts, and cinema. Engaging in activities such as listening to music, watching movies, dramas, reading literature, or appreciating fine artwork can effectively alleviate stress. Moreover, learning any art form can be a means of destressing oneself by embracing the creative process. During my childhood, I possessed a keen interest in drawing and painting. However, my pursuit of these hobbies waned upon joining medical school, nearly leading to their abandonment. Around 2012–2013, when my children were pursuing their studies abroad, I made a conscious decision to embark on a journey of learning painting. It is important to recognize that any artistic endeavor comprises 90% craft and 10% creativity. The latter distinguishes the work of different artists. I commenced my learning journey by utilizing both offline and online resources, including attending workshops with experienced artists to enhance my skills. What truly captivates me is not the final product but the very process of creation itself. This aspect serves as my primary stress reliever. Additionally, I have made an effort to cultivate an appreciation for beauty in the mundane aspects of my surroundings. Over time, my artistic skills have improved, and I have had the privilege of participating in group exhibitions at art galleries. I am delighted to share some of my work here, which comprises both watercolor and oil paintings. I trust that readers will find them esthetically pleasing. I extend my heartfelt wish to everyone seeking solace and happiness for their souls and minds. Van Gogh, one of the most renowned artists of all time, was once asked, “Why do you paint?” His response was, “I paint because, in fact, it prevents me from thinking!” For me, Van Gogh’s words encapsulate the essence of what truly sustains my soul.
