Effects of copper ions and their combination with nanoplastics on the aerobic denitrifying bacterium Pseudomonas stutzeri: denitrification performance, physiological and biochemical responses, and transcriptomic changes
Polystyrene nanoplastics mitigate Cu-induced stress in Pseudomonas stutzeri by enhancing EPS secretion and nitrogen metabolism gene expression, improving denitrification efficiency. Mechanistic insights are revealed via transcriptomic analysis.
