EFFECT OF PROBIOTICS ON GROWTH AND BLOOD BIOCHEMICAL PARAMETERS IN GOSLINGS
Maintaining a healthy intestinal state is crucial because it has a significant impact on the production and livability rates of poultry. A dynamic balance between beneficial and pathogenic microorganisms is necessary for a stable microbiome. Probiotics can strongly influence the process. The article assesses the effect of spore-forming bacterial probiotic ‘Bacispecin’ and lactic acid bacteria probiotic ‘MK’ on the live body weight of goslings and protein fractions of blood serum. The research on-farm trial was conducted on farm ‘OOO Bashkir Bird’ [LLC] of the Republic of Bashkortostan as part of the strategic project ‘Digital transformation in animal breeding and genotyping’ of the Priority 2030 program. The trial found that within 9 weeks of rearing goslings supplemented with Bacispecin exhibited 10.9 % higher live body weights compared to the control group (P > 0.05). The MK probiotic supplementation resulted in 0.3 % gain in the live body weight. The highest total protein, albumin and globulin in the blood serum of goslings was recorded in all experimental groups on day 21 of age compared to other age periods. The exception was the globulin content in the blood of goslings in the control group on day 49 of age. The research established a significant positive correlation, close to functional (r = 0.99), between the average daily weight gain and serum albumin content in goslings of the control group as well as a strong positive correlation between the average daily weight gain and total protein content (r = 0.89) in goslings supplemented with Bacispecin.
