DESIGNING ALTERNATIVE CASINGS FOR TRANSPORTATION AND HARVESTING OF PLANT MATTER

The article develops four types of profiles for guide casings for rotary mowers with a horizontal axis of rotation. The first profile is a casing for the free flight of a particle, which ensures minimal interaction of its surface with the cut-off mass. The other three profiles are designed to ensure an equally slow movement of particles, respectively, in time, distance traveled, and projection of the path onto the horizon. Examples of calculated casing profiles are given, and the influence of numerical parameter values on their shape is shown. The necessary conditions for transporting plant mass particles to reach the unloading point are noted.

Abstract

The article develops four types of profiles for guide casings for rotary mowers with a horizontal axis of rotation. The first profile is a casing for the free flight of a particle, which ensures minimal interaction of its surface with the cut-off mass. The other three profiles are designed to ensure an equally slow movement of particles, respectively, in time, distance traveled, and projection of the path onto the horizon. Examples of calculated casing profiles are given, and the influence of numerical parameter values on their shape is shown. The necessary conditions for transporting plant mass particles to reach the unloading point are noted.
