STUDY OF THE EXTERNAL CHARACTERISTIC OF THERMOELECTRIC GENERATOR IN THE CONDITIONS OF THERMAL NETWORKS
The article presents a study of the external characteristics of a thermoelectric generator (TEG) installed on a heat network located in an underground thermal chamber. In the first stage, the installation location within the thermal chamber for the thermoelectric generator was determined. Subsequently, access to the thermal chamber was made and the thermoelectric generator was installed. The research utilized a developed design of the thermoelectric generator equipped with two thermoelectric modules from Cryoterm company model TGM-127-1.4-2.0, which can be increased if necessary. The temperature graph of the heat network is within the range of 70...95 °C due to their technical specifications. Therefore, experimental data collection took place on different days to investigate various temperatures of the heat network, as the days were chosen depending on ambient temperature since at lower ambient temperatures, hotter heating medium supply from the boiler room occurs according to the temperature schedule. External characteristic data of the thermoelectric generator were obtained at heating temperatures of 70 °C, 80 °C, 90 °C, and cooling temperature of 27 °C.
