Book Review of Frontier Technology Review
“Frontier Technology Review” focuses on the evolution of frontier technologies over the past half-century, systematically outlining and evaluating milestone achievements in global scientific innovation. While reviewing the trajectory of high-tech development worldwide, the book also evaluates China' s successful cases and room for improvement in the field of technological innovation in recent years. The author deeply explores the interaction mechanisms between science, economic, and social development from a theoretical perspective, and elaborates on the cognitive transformation of the international academic community from the one-way impact path of science to technology and economy, gradually shifting towards building a national innovation system that includes multi-party participation and interactive feedback. In this context, basic research is recognized as a fundamental cornerstone of frontier technological innovation. The Chinese government continues to deepen reforms in the scientific system and technology system and other related areas, aiming to optimize the effectiveness of science and technology in serving national economic and social development, while contributing to addressing global challenges such as climate change and major infectious diseases. This book holds significant practical value for accurately understanding the logical framework of current technological innovation policies and plans.
