A Study on the Formation Mechanism of the “Fandom Culture” in Table Tennis from the Perspective of Interaction Ritual Chains

本文以兰德尔·柯林斯的互动仪式链理论为分析框架，探讨乒乓球饭圈文化的形成逻辑。研究发现，乒乓球饭圈文化通过技术赋能实现“身体共在”、严格划分群体边界、共同焦点的符号化建构以及情感能量的积累与释放等方式建立互动仪式链。这一构建过程产生了群体团结、情感能量增益、群体性符号和群体道德感等结果。然而，乒乓球饭圈文化也存在仪式焦点偏移、群体互动排他性以及商业化导致的价值内核异化等问题。为推动其良性发展，需要强化粉丝价值观引导、完善网络平台监管机制以及加强体育管理部门与社会组织的协作。该研究为乒乓球饭圈文化的可持续发展提供了理论支撑与实践指引，也为拓展互动仪式链理论在多元文化语境及不同体育项目中的应用提供了参考。Based on Randall Collins’s interactive ritual chain theory, this paper explores the formation logic of the table tennis fan circle culture. It is found that the table tennis fan circle culture constructs an interactive ritual chain through the realization of “physical coexistence” through technology empowerment, strict division of group boundaries, symbolic construction of common focus, and accumulation and release of emotional energy. This process of construction produces the results of group solidarity, emotional energy gain, group symbols, and group morality. However, the table tennis fan circle culture also has problems such as the shift of ritual focus, the exclusivity of group interaction, and the alienation of the value core caused by commercialization. In order to promote its healthy development, it is necessary to strengthen the guidance of fan values, improve the supervision mechanism of online platforms, and strengthen the cooperation between sports management departments and social organizations. This study provides theoretical support and practical guidance for the sustainable development of table tennis fan circle culture, and also provides a reference for expanding the application of interactive ritual chain theory in multicultural contexts and different sports.
