Addressable Fiber Bragg Structures for Ice Sensing
This work introduces a novel addressable fiber Bragg structures configuration employing parallel fiber Bragg gratings inscribed in separate optical fibers. The proposed design reduces fabrication cost and complexity, preserves spectral integrity, and achieves a spatial size suitable for point measurements. Its are the key elements of microwave photonic approach to ice sensing and can operate as single sensors instead of FBG, or complexed by Fabry-Perot with Vernier effect interferometer for additional air parameters monitoring.
