Synchronization Over Optical Communication Channels Using DWDM and PTP. Architecture and Optical Time Channel (OTC) Implementation
The article discusses modern approaches to transmitting high-precision signals for synchronizing time scales in telecommunication networks using DWDM technology and the PTP protocol. Particular attention is paid to the use of an optical time channel (OTC), which allows minimizing the impact of network load and eliminating dependence on satellite systems. Architectural solutions, calibration methods, and a comparative analysis with traditional synchronization methods are presented.
