Two-Coordinate AO Deflector of Bessel-Gaussian Beam with Intense Maximum and Small Number of Side Rings
The scheme of a two-coordinate AO deflector based on <tex>$\text{TeO}_{2}$</tex> crystal for deflection of Bessel-type beams to controlled angles has been developed and investigated. The device transforms an incident Gaussian beam into a ring beam diffracted in two mutually perpendicular directions, which in the far zone is transformed into a small-ring Bessel-type beam containing an intense central maximum and two or three weakly intense side rings. The dependence of the spatial transverse structure of the scanned beams on the ultrasound frequency is investigated. A comparative analysis of the main characteristics of this device with the case of operation on Gaussian beams is carried out and it is shown that the number of resolvable points in the far zone can be increased for a single-coordinate AO deflector by 1.5 times. The proposed deflector can be used for laser location, wireless optical communication and long-range energy delivery.
