Cevital diversification strategy and food security in Algeria

Food security faces numerous challenges that compromise its ability to meet food needs while ensuring long-term sustainability. In response to this situation, diversification strategies can be a means of promoting and strengthening this interest.This study explores the contribution of private initiatives, such as Cevital, to food security in Algeria. Through diversification strategies, this player is strengthening the country's food self-sufficiency by limiting dependence on imports and ensuring a stable supply of essential goods.Through its leadership in the agri-food sector, Cevital plays a central role in food security in Algeria, and its innovation initiatives reinforce its position as a strategic player in the sector at the national and international level.However, despite its significant efforts, Cevital still faces several major challenges.We have concluded in this investigation that it is imperative that the agri-food industry, following the example of Cevital, continues to innovate and adopt more sustainable practices.Adapting to new climate realities, improving resource efficiency, and reducing environmental impacts will be key to ensuring long-term food security.
