Optimization of Express Service Center Site Selection in a University Based on ICGM and AHP
In order to solve the chaotic situation of university express package management and the problem of students' inconvenience in picking up express packages, it is necessary to find a suitable location and establish a centralized express service center at university. This paper combines improved center of gravity method (ICGM) and analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to solve the site selection problem of express service center in universities. By using ICGM, a location optimization model is constructed and several location alternatives are identified. Then, by using AHP to construct the evaluation index system and judgment matrix, the optimal location scheme is finally determined quantitatively. The combination of both two methods can effectively avoid the mismatch between the site selection scheme obtained by theoretical calculation and the actual complex situation of the university campus. An empirical analysis of Dongli South Campus of Civil Aviation University of China is carried out to verify the effectiveness of the optimization models and methods.
