Big Data-Driven Intelligent System for OBE-Based Interaction and Evaluation in Business English Classrooms
The traditional teaching model and evaluation method have been unable to meet the needs of students' language use and interactive ability training in actual business scenarios. This study constructs an intelligent system for business English classroom interaction and evaluation based on the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) model and big data technology. The system provides teachers with teaching feedback and students with personalized learning experiences by capturing students' interaction in real-time and analyzing learning progress and difficulties. The system adopts four-tier distributed architecture, covering key technologies such as multi-source data acquisition, big data processing and analysis, intelligent interaction, and evaluation modules. A 16-week experiment was conducted among business English learners. Results show that the system significantly improved the frequency of classroom interaction, the completion of case tasks, Business English Certificate (BEC) writing scores, and the diversity of negotiation strategies, which verified the accuracy of the evaluation through the high correlation with experts' scores.
