PENGARUH DUKUNGAN SOSIAL, KOMPETENSI DAN MOTIVASI TERHADAP KINERJA FUNGSIONAL STATISTISI AHLI MUDA PADA BADAN PUSAT STATISTIK SE SUMATERA UTARA
This study was conducted at the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) offices across regencies and cities in North Sumatra, and it took place in 2021. The research employed a quantitative associative approach. The population of the study consisted of 188 employees, specifically all Junior Expert Functional Statisticians (Statistisi Ahli Muda) at BPS throughout North Sumatra. The sampling technique used in this research was random sampling, resulting in a sample size of 128 respondents. Based on the results of the multiple linear regression analysis, the following equation was obtained: Y = 19.900 + 0.488X₁ + 0.334X₂ + 0.424X₃ + e Partially, the social support variable (X₁) had a significant influence on performance (Y). This means that the hypothesis was accepted, as indicated by the t-value being greater than the t-table value (4.100 > 1.66). The competence variable (X₂) also had a significant effect on performance (Y), with a t-value of 2.692 > 1.66, indicating the hypothesis was accepted. Likewise, the motivation variable (X₃) significantly influenced performance (Y), with a t-value of 2.386 > 1.66, confirming the hypothesis. Collectively, the variables social support, competence, and motivation contributed 53.3% to the performance variable, while the remaining 46.7% was influenced by other variables not examined in this study. Based on the conclusions above, the researcher offers the following suggestions. Employees and leadership should strive to strengthen social support to foster a more collaborative environment. Both leaders and staff are encouraged to continuously enhance their competence to ensure optimal performance. Employees should also motivate one another professionally to help the organization achieve its goals.
