Perbandingan Material untuk Chasis Mobil
This study evaluates various engineering materials based on the relationship between density and mechanical, thermal, and economic properties, using bubble chart visualization. Analysis was performed on six key parameters: Young's modulus, yield strength, fracture toughness, price, fatigue strength, and thermal distortion resistance. Results show that high-density materials, such as steel and nickel-based superalloys, excel in fracture toughness and thermal resistance. However, lightweight materials such as CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer) stood out due to their high strength-to-weight ratio, making them ideal for weight-sensitive applications such as automotive chassis. CFRP was chosen as the best candidate due to its high stiffness, durability, and structural efficiency, despite its relatively high cost.
