SOME ASPECTS OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT

The article presents the results of a study of rural development in Russia and the world. Based on the study of scientific papers presented in domestic and foreign databases, the main directions of rural development are defined, conclusions are formulated that can be used by authorities making decisions regarding the development of rural areas, regions, and the country. Successful development of rural areas is possible with investments in infrastructure and social sphere facilities; it is necessary to create conditions for attracting young people and highly qualified personnel, introduce innovative technologies in the agricultural sector, develop tourism and crafts as additional sources of income for the rural population.
