A hierarchical fault location method for power lines based on instantaneous phase consistency
For power lines, fault analysis and fault point location methods face many challenges. To address this problem, a hierarchical fault point location method for power lines based on instantaneous phase consistency is proposed. According to the voltage instantaneous amplitude consistency constraint at the fault point, the fuzzy fault interval is determined using the dichotomy method; the fault judgment criterion is constructed based on the constraint that the instantaneous phase of the zero-sequence voltage and zero-sequence current on the transition resistor is consistent, and the golden section search algorithm is used to determine the precise location of the fault in the fault section. The positioning results of a large number of simulation cases and actual field cases show that the hierarchical fault point location method is accurate and effective, and the positioning method is not affected by factors such as fault type, line parameters, fault location, transition resistor value and time-varying characteristics. It is suitable for the analysis and fault point location of power line short-circuit faults, and can provide a reference for the handling of related problems.
