ACCESSIBILITY OF CULTURE IN RURAL AREAS: ANALYSIS OF THE VOLGA FEDERAL DISTRICT

The article analyzes the accessibility of cultural and leisure activities in rural areas on the example of the subjects of the Russian Federation that are part of the Volga Federal District. The authors of the article analyze statistical information on such indicators as: the share of the rural population, the number of cultural and leisure institutions, the number of club formations and its participants, cultural and leisure events held on a paid basis and the level of their attendance. Based on the analysis of indicators, the most successfully developing regions of the Volga Federal District are determined.
