Research on performance optimization of ultra-high-speed backbone network transmission based on optical communication hardware

This research proposes a performance optimization scheme based on optical communication hardware to address transmission performance bottlenecks in ultra-high-speed optical communication systems, aiming to enhance the transmission efficiency and stability of fiber optic backbone networks. First, the main challenges of current ultra-high-speed optical communication systems are analyzed, including issues such as signal attenuation, bandwidth limitations, and noise interference. Then, based on the combination of Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) technology and Raman amplifiers, this paper presents an innovative hardware optimization design. By precisely controlling the power distribution and gain characteristics of optical signals, the design minimizes signal attenuation and maximizes the transmission capacity of the system. In addition, the effectiveness of the optimization scheme is verified through experiments. The results show significant improvements in network delay, gain, and output power under high bandwidth load. Finally, combining the experimental results, this study effectively reduces the attenuation of optical signals during long-distance transmission by integrating WDM technology and Raman amplifiers, significantly improving transmission efficiency. Experimental results indicate that, under the optimized design, the attenuation of optical signals is reduced by approximately 20%.
