Interacción entre sustratos y Trichoderma harzianum en la germinación de Pseudosamanea guachapele bajo condiciones de vivero

The use of beneficial microorganisms such as Trichoderma harzianum and the selection of appropriate substrates are key strategies to enhance the propagation of native forest species. This study evaluated the effect of three substrates (100% forest soil, forest soil + peat, and forest soil + biochar) combined with four T. harzianum inoculation levels (10⁻⁶, 10⁻⁷, 10⁻⁸, and a control) on the germination and early growth of Pseudosamanea guachapele under nursery conditions. The highest germination rate (30.37%) was recorded with the peat + forest soil mixture and T. harzianum at 10⁻⁷, while the lowest (18.52%) occurred with biochar and the 10⁻⁸ concentration. Regarding growth, the treatment with biochar at 10⁻⁶ promoted greater height (7.02 cm) and shoot dry weight (0.42 g), while peat favored root length (15.32 cm) and robustness index (3.11). Although not all variables showed statistical differences, effective substrate-inoculant combinations were identified for improving seedling development. The results support the use of T. harzianum and enriched substrates as tools to strengthen seedling production in forest nurseries and contribute to reforestation programs using native species
