SnFe2O4 Nanocomposite with Nanostructured Carbon Species (GO, rGO, AC, SAC) for Lithium‐Ion Battery Anodes: Electrochemical Battery Performance, Capacitance, and Electrical and Dielectric Properties

In this study, SnFe 2 O 4 nanoparticles with an inverse spinel crystal structure are synthesized via the solvothermal method, and effect of nanostructured carbon materials including; reduced graphene oxide (rGO), graphene oxide (GO), activated carbon (AC), and super‐activated carbon have been investigated. The structural, morphological, elemental composition, chemical bonding, electrical properties including resistivity ( ρ ), dielectric constant ( ε ), and dielectric loss tangent, AC conductivity, cyclic voltammetry, battery J–V performance, and charge/discharge capacity of the synthesized compounds are thoroughly examined. The X‐ray diffraction (XRD) analysis confirmed the presence of tin ferrite oxide phase and carbon species nanostructures and field emission electron microscopy (FESEM) images reveals cubic shapes characteristic of inverse spinel ferrites. The Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) results, indicated the vibrations corresponding to the presence of tin and iron metal oxides, and carbon bonding which are related to nanocomposites structures. The electrical properties, such as dielectric loss tangent, AC conductivity variations, and total conductivity were analyzed based on the Maxwell–Wagner model. Based on the anodic and cathodic peaks in the curves and the reversibility of the occurring reactions, the best performance was attributed to the anodic electrode containing the active material SnFe 2 O 4 /rGO, which showed enhanced efficiency in electrochemical analysis.
