The Influence of Differential Peer Associations on juvenile Delinquency
The objective verification of the democracy or legitimacy of the Korea Coast Guard should be discussed on a conceptual basis that can be empirically verified, and the approach can be reviewed from various perspectives. For example, it may be considered from the perspective of a citizen facing the maritime police, but due to limited limitations in certain fields, there are structural difficulties in practically measuring the characteristics of the maritime police organization. Representative, it was discussed focusing on the t-test method based on Self-assessed legitimacy, which means coast guard police officer himself belief in authority as a self-evaluating police officer and external legitimacy, which means the police's belief in the legitimacy of the police as evaluated by citizens. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the Korea Coast Guard showed a higher level of legitimacy overall compared to the Korean national police. In addition, it was tentatively evaluated that the Korea Coast Guard had a balanced legitimacy perception. However, it was found that the Korea Coast Guard maintained a negative perception of citizens' evaluation. It is judged to be due to the limited cases in which the procedure and performance of the work can be shown to citizens.
